EPL Welcomes Coretta Scott King Award-Winning Author Renée Watson!


Please join us for a reading and talk with New York Times bestselling author Renée Watson! Renée will discuss her life as an author, educator, and activist whose work centers around the lived experiences of black girls and women, and explore themes of home, identity, and the intersections of race, class, and gender. Renée's most recent young adult release, "Piecing Me Together", has just received the Coretta Scott King Award and a Newbery Honor. Renée will also read from her other acclaimed titles include "Betty Before X", "This Side of Home", and "Harlem's Little Blackbird."
