“Without Commercial Interruption” continues! We face tough questions of racial inequality in our country. These questions are central to the work in Without Commercial Interruption, which is titled from a line in Gil Scott-Heron’s iconic song. For artists, Donald Black Jr, Amber N. Ford and Martinez E-B, their interest in race did not arise from increased media coverage; it is intimately tied with their experience as black individuals growing up in Cleveland.
